Jessie Jaquish — Fiscal Specialist

Growing up the daughter of an engineering professor, you learn a few things. You learn that math and science are essential for technology to move forward. You learn that humans rely on math and science for so very many daily things. You learn that working with extremely smart people requires a special language and communication style to respect their points of view, but also express yourself so they will listen and understand. Science and Engineering is not my background. I spent 16 years banking, or more appropriately, doing Credit Union work. I assisted members with basic financial transactions, processing consumer and Home Equity loans, and guiding prospective members through the new account process. Money flows through every aspect of life, so the range I have witnessed runs from the joy of successfully financing a new home, to the tragedy of converting an account from living to estate. These backgrounds give me an unique perspective on what it means to work between engineers exploring Hydrogen Energy and financial backers wishing to develop technology. I am thrilled to work so closely with brilliant minds working here at the HYPER Lab.

As HYPER’s Fiscal Specialist, I look forward to working with new people from incredibly different backgrounds and organizations, so please reach out to me if you have questions at (509)335-2227 or jessica.jaquish@wsu.edu.
